Flawless Thoughts

Bowl Game Blackjack keeps the Bowl Games exciting. Get involved with some smack talk by typing #smackjabber and #bgbj after a tweet.

The Lakers and Heat publicly whined about playing basketball on Christmas, and while they might be right, it really took something away for me. Not that I like basketball on Christmas, it's no football on Thanksgiving, but to publicly whine about one of the games that fans were looking forward to didn't make sense to me.

The Giants have seemingly collapsed again, and when that is a trait of a team for more than one year, it does seem like you have to blame the coaching. I just find it hard to say "fire Coughlin" like most fans are, because the Giants make the playoffs all the time under Coughlin , and they are always in contention.

When Sunday Night Football took place on Tuesday night, it was the first NFL game played on a Tuesday since 1946. The blizzard was dangerous to drive in and the NFL was worried about fan safety. That makes sense to me, but on the other hand when has football ever been canceled because of snow? It just doesn't sound right. One of the reasons I love football is that it is never canceled for snow or rain. I'll have to rephrase that to - One of the reasons I love football is that it is never canceled for rain.
