Lock It Up

I'm taking Bruins over Canadiens tonight in Boston in a game 7 that will be wild, and will definitely get violent. The fear that their fans will riot and cause thousands of dollars worth of damage back home will not be enough for Montreal to get a win against the ten-foot tall Chara and Tim Thomas. The teams are playing again tonight and the fact that they will not have gotten the normal day of rest in between games will be a factor, the comfort of playing at home will keep the Bruins focused.

Flawless Thoughts

I hope the Blackhawks beat the Canucks Tuesday night completing a comeback from being down 3-0 in the series, it'll put the Yankees' demise in '04 that much further into the past.

I see people walking around with Dodgers hats on all the time, now Bud Selig will be one of them. What are the chances that Prokhorov buys "the bums" and puts them in the Barclays Center?

Ovechkin took over as the face of the NHL in my opinion with a goal on Saturday that made all-star goalie Lundqvist look like a bum goalie on an overpaid, underachieving team.

Looks like the players have won the first quarter of the Super Lockout Bowl with Judge Nelson's ruling, now the player-haters get to hate on the legal system too.

Lock It Up

My lock of the week is Flyers over Sabres in Buffalo tonight. The dangerous Flyers goal scorers have found a way to do their thing even on America's favorite goalie Ryan Miller, and they won't stop tonight when they go up 3-1 in the series. Watch for Briere to be a top star as usual.

Flawless Thoughts

When the Knicks are down two points in the final seconds of a playoff game, they'll have Melo attempt an ill-advised three.

If I was a Rangers fan, I'd feel really great about scoring the three goals on the young goalie Neuvirth, who had held NY to a combined one goal in the two previous games.

$13 million buys you a guilty conviction on Bonds for...... spending too much time talking.

Apparently there's a hockey team called "The Nashville Predators" and they lead a playoff series against Anaheim.

Knicks didn't practice but Amar'e did Regis & Kelly while Melo does Letterman. What did KG, Paul & Ray do today, practice? Silly Celtics

Lock It Up

My lock of the week is Canucks over Blackhawks tonight in Vancouver. Though last week's Lock was Chicago and it paid off, I doubt that they have what it takes to go into the #1 seed's house and win a game, especially after spending all their energy just getting to the post-season. I'll be watching as the Sedin twins destroy what's left of last year's Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks.

If the Sharks don't make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, they take over for the Buffalo Bills in the category of "Most Disappointing Consecutive Playoff Runs by a Sports Franchise."

Under the definition of "Caught Red-Handed" there is a picture of Rafael Palmeiro, yet the government goes all out on Bonds.

Jenn Sterger says she wants her life back. But seriously Jenn, are you so audacious as to expect someone to hire you, knowing that you're willing to stand up for yourself and report inappropriate (and likely illegal) texts from a work acquaintance? What do you think this is, the 21st century?

Lock It Up

My lock of the week is Blackhawks over Blues tonight. With about three games left a piece, the NHL has a playoff race going on in the Western Conference, four teams battling for the last two spots. I like the Blackhawks to rise to the occasion and beat St Louis who just gave their all to win a close game last night, they won't have much left for Chicago, not to mention that the Blues have been eliminated from playoff possibilities and therefore golf is calling.

Flawless Thoughts

Geno, thanks for warning us that Uconn's NCAAW team was vulnerable.

Knicks to the playoffs? I eat my hat if they win a series. They had trouble with the Nets last week!

When a top payroll team in MLB starts off by getting swept, it makes the hard salary cap argument seem irrelevant.

I'd like to contribute to a ridiculous, expensive, trial involving whether or not someone lied about cheating in baseball, and I'd like the money to come directly out of my pay check.
