Flawless Thoughts

I always knew there was something not right about Jim Tressel, but I thought it was that he looked like a McDonalds character.

I would probably still watch the NFL even if there were scabs hired to play, but that's not saying a lot since I'm still watching the Women's side of the French Open even though the Williams sisters are not competing in it.

Caution flags during the last laps in a NASCAR race are kinda like if an NFL game went final because the clock continued to run during an officials review in the final minutes of the 4th quarter during a come from behind drive that could've won the game.

Why are the two most popular drivers in pro auto racing drivers who never win?

Lock It Up

I'm going with Dallas tonight over OKC. With Westbrook and the rest of the gang making bad decisions left and right, the more experienced Mavs will take advantage. I won't be surprised if Dirk makes a half-court shot at some point to add to his highlight reel from this series.

Flawless Thoughts

I feel like there can be no rapture until either the Cubs or Cleveland wins a world championship.

Where are all the Lebron haters now? Talking about how he can't close games? Anyone? Go back to the woodwork.

Hey Canada while you're at it can you take the Florida Panthers too?

Great subway series for the Yanks, but nothing will ever beat Luis Castillo's drop of a routine pop-up from A-Rod.

Mike Faux Dunleavy
Kobe is going to love the offense I install. There's a play called "Dribble Around and Launch an Off-Balance 3". Baron used to love it.

Lock It Up

I like the Bulls over the Heat in Game 2, maybe it's because I've seen the posterizing of Dwayne Wade replay like 100 times on ESPN, or maybe it's because the Heat acted like they'd already won the championship after beating the old and Perkins-less Celtics, or maybe it's because Bron cried on one knee during that celebration. That vulnerability has been seen for the last couple of years from him, and it's led to a lot of things, but not wins against good teams in the playoffs.

Flawless Thoughts

The Tankees looked bad enough on the field this weekend, but then capped it off with the airing of some dirty laundry.

The Mets ownership should write a book on how to ruin a franchise that was thriving in a huge sports market.

It's pretty weird that the NHL is seemingly allowing talks to move the Thrashers to Winnipeg but went nuts about keeping the Coyotes in Phoenix, when Atlanta is a way bigger market. Just another reason why Bettman gets more boos than any other commissioner, though Goodell is getting up there.

Just last year Pau Gasol seemed like a gritty champion that was immune to problems that the spotlight in LA can bring, this has all changed now.

Lock It Up

Wow, was I ever wrong about the Lakers. This week I'm taking the Red Wings over the Sharks. San Jose was up 3-0 in the series and Detroit has scratched and kicked their way to a game 7 Thursday night at the "Shark Tank" , It's taken this long but now the Wings have heated up and there will be no stopping them, watch for Zetterberg to have a huge game.

Nobody ever says of Bill Walsh - "Give me Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and I'll win three Super Bowls", so why when speaking of Phil Jackson's career does someone always say - "Give me Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant and I'll win championships." ?

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR THE FLYERS AND CAPITALS - You need good goal-tenders to win in the playoffs, not just some guys you met at an Eastern European grocery store.

When speaking of the best players of all time in the major sports, all are players from the last thirty-five years, except in baseball. #JoeMontana #WayneGretzky #MichaelJordan #BabeRuth

Lock It Up

My lock of the week is Lakers over Mavs in game 2 of their series. When the lights go on in the Staples Center tonight, so does the "on switch" for this talented Laker team. The Mavs have a history of not winning, and they have lots of experience losing momentum in a playoff series, they'll fall back into place tonight in LA.

Flawless Thoughts

Tennessee is feared in the NBA & NHL playoffs - #SignsOfTheApocalypse

How many times do we have to hear that the Jets run New York before the Jets actually win a Super Bowl?

There's no excuse for Jeter's terrible hitting, unless his team publicly questioned his value during the off-season or something, that'd be a different story.
